Back pain recovery programs
A planned series of visits that combines the services above for ongoing low back pain.
What it is
A back pain recovery program is a written visit plan built after your first exam. It combines the services that fit your situation, such as adjustments, decompression, acupuncture, and soft tissue work.
The plan lists how often to come in and what happens at each stage, along with simple stretches to do at home. It is reviewed as you go and changed if something is not helping.
Who it may help
- People whose low back pain has lasted weeks or keeps coming back
- People who want a clear schedule instead of booking one visit at a time
Every patient is different. Dr. Hua will tell you after the exam whether this is a good fit for you.
What a session is like
The first visit is an exam and a conversation about your history, your work, and what makes the pain better or worse.
Later visits follow the plan. Each one is usually 30 to 45 minutes.
Dr. Hua checks progress at set points and talks with you about whether to continue, change, or stop.
Questions patients ask
- How long is a program?
- Plans are often several weeks long. The exact length depends on your exam and how you respond.
- Do I have to commit to the full program?
- No. You can stop at any time. The plan is a recommendation.
- Does insurance cover a program?
- Insurance covers individual services, not the program as a package. We check which services your Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO or Medicare plan covers. Coverage varies by plan; call us to verify your benefits.
